Aries New Moon: The Birth of the Goddess – 3.21.23

Wishing you a Happy New Year! Around 5:30pm ET yesterday, the Sun shifted into Aries, marking the start of the new zodiac year.

For thousands of years, ancient cultures have observed the Spring Equinox (the moment of equal days and nights, and after which the days will begin to grow longer than nights in the Northern Hemisphere) as the rebirth of the great Sun God. This is also the pagan sabbat of Ostara, honoring the Saxon Goddess Eostre and Aurora, Great Goddess of the Dawn.

Yesterday the Sun actually spent most of the day at 29’ Pisces, ending a 30-day season of reflection, integration and acceptance – this energy brings awareness to how we’ve grown over the last 12 months. As Pisces rules the deep unconscious, this time may also illuminate how the vibrations of your thoughts, emotions and beliefs have the power to create your experience of life.

At 1:23pm ET today, the Moon will be New at 0’ Aries, the very first degree of the zodiac. This activation brings forward an energy of joyful creativity and rebirth. It’s a powerful time of renewal, when new chapters of growth and personal development are beginning. This is an excellent time to set your intentions for the next 12 months, and to take a moment to really imagine or feel the feelings of your wishes coming true.

This New Moon squares Mars in Gemini, and the tension of this square serves as a reminder that we don’t always know how things are meant to turn out. Mars in Gemini acts as an ‘x’ factor – unknown information, opportunities or twists of fate that we have yet to discover.

Over the next 4 weeks, we must remember to lean into Gemini’s greatest gifts => staying curious, adaptable and ready to pivot when unexpected shifts, surprises, upsets and even lucky opportunities arise. There’s a cation to stay present and open to spontaneity – light on our feet.

One of the greatest gifts of Mars in Gemini is the gift of resourcefulness – the ability to call upon all of your available talents, relationships and sources of knowledge when faced with a setback. You may be invited to recognize that you have a greater support network than you realize.

The alignment between this New Moon and The White Moon Selena amplifies our manifesting power, and cautions us to hold our word, thoughts and actions in the highest vibration. Everywhere around us, we are planting energetic seeds what will blossom, bearing their sweet, or bitter, fruit as the year unfolds.

At the same time, we’re being invited to tap into the highest vibrations of Aries – archetype of the newborn, the pioneer, the trailblazer and the warrior. Aries brings us the gifts of clarity, bravery, boldness, honesty, and passion.

In your natal chart, this energy describes where you thirst for simplicity, freedom and independence – where you seek to express yourself purely and unapologetically in a raw matter-of-fact way.

This New Moon supports you to tap into the truth of who you are. As the Sun aligns with both Jupiter and Chiron later this month, the coming lunar cycle will guide you to dispel your own limiting beliefs.

We’re in the midst of a massive transition as Pluto prepares to make its initial shift into Aquarius in two days, beginning an epic 2-year transition. Pluto takes 240+ years to traverse the entire zodiac and the last time Pluto entered Aquarius was on April 4th, 1777, right around the time of the American and French Revolutions.

Aquarius is the sign of the sacred rebel, the scientist, the innovator, of communities and the power of the people.

Pluto energy is associated with radical transformation; the cycle of death and rebirth.

In Aquarius, this innovative and rebellious energy will bring forward radical advances to artificial intelligence, virtual reality and the metaverse, bio-engineering, structures of power and governance, cryptocurrency, space travel and more.

Through this transit, society will redefine the ways we connect with each other, and possibly even with other worlds.

Pluto will be in Aquarius for the next 20 years and will influence how our global society evolves on all levels.I’m looking forward to exploring Pluto’s shift into Aquarius in greater depth in my April Flowcast live call on March 31st at 12pm MT, including a comparison between Pluto in Capricorn vs Pluto in Aquarius, rebellious forces and the epic battle between good and evil – click here to learn more.
